My week 23/52

I've been seek the whole week and still seek.
I changed to writing with black gel pen 0.5 mm and enjoy it a lot. I also have a pocket size notebook and write there my to do's and notes and enjoy it also. I take out the current week on two pages out of my Filofax and this notebook and go out without the Filofax itself. And don't have the weight of it! I'm happy!
I also added wider day on a page sheets that I hacked out of another planner and write there my diary - my thoughts, weather, anything that concerns me etc. It is very helpful to calm down my mind this way.
I have bought on Wednesday a lot of scrapbooking supplies and enjoy it. I probably going to make a video on it.

my week {22/52]♡ golden theme

I  began to decorate my pages! I totally blame this on you, philofaxy community! :) I love it! I have already decorated the next week, and want to decorate every page in my filofax now!
I have not used my filofax this week, I used a pocket size notebook.  I liked it because of the size, but I couldn't move my pages around! It's not a filofax! As I have written on my previous blog post, I have a replica of a pocker filofax,  but I was too lazy to punch  pages for it, and used this fat notebook.  I have cut the page with this week out of it and have glued it on the right side. I'm not going to rewrite everything on it again!

I moved back to FF! Couldn't stand the weight of Franklin Covey binder! Moreover, I plan to go a size down, and move to a pocket size! I don't have a pocket FF yet, I have a replica of it, I plan to use it until I buy a pocjket FF. I'm still deceiding which one to use, but you know which one is my vaf, right? :)

week {20/52}★

This week I have changed to writing with a pencil completely.  It proved to be the right decision. I like that I could transfer my to dos or appointments to anither day or to another place
 What do I mean by a different place? I use GTD context lists and I write them underneath the columns with hours. Here I write things that I have not scheduled the day or the hour yet, my to do's for hime, things to buy, places to go, and my spendings. Initially there are signs "tasks" written there, I wanted to white them out, but then figured out that I could just write before them without having to take out the whitening pen. (Yes, i'm just lazy! :)
     I have also added to do pages in front of the week -you can't see them here, of course.
     You coukd see also the paper flag sticked on Monday up. This means that I have accomplished/done this to do. I started to use paper flags and found them very useful. I can put them anywhere and relocate them to any page and place. The only inconvenient thing is that they are too big to be placed horizontally on vertical week on two pages. This could be solved by cutting them or folding them- again, I don't want to bother. :)

My week 19/52. I moved to Franklin Covey!

I wanted to insert more pages, and no matter how many pages I took out from my Filofax, it was always full. I even figured out how to slim down pages in Filofax and wanted to make a video for my YouTube channel  about it. No luck!

I have completely changed my set up, and want to make a video about it too! But my days are so full right now (do you have aVERY BUSY may, as I always have?), that I am putting off making videos every day!

I also can't figure out how to put my photos from Instagram to my blog. Do you have any ideas? Is it possible? :)

week {18/52} ☆

Here is my week 18 of 2013. I have switched to a week on two pages inserts that I downloaded from Philofaxy blog.
 I wanted this layout for a really long time, but thought that the columns will be too narrow and I won't have the space to write my to's. I thought this layout work only for an A5 size, but gladly, I was wrong!
If you want to try it, just try it! No guessing needed!
There is enough space for appointments and to do's on the bottom of each day. I could use these "Tasks" columns on the bottom for:

1. tasks that I need to do on each given day or
2. for tasks that I need to do for the entire week, divided into context, as "to buy", "to go", "ideas", "to research" etc.

This depends on how much I need to do.

I also tried to write on the very top on the page, where 6 am is supposed to be, three most important things to do for the day. Sometimes it didn't work because since I have started to write them, I needed to write EVERYTHING without thinking at the same time about what is the most important of the day. So,  I switched to writing  them on the bottom. Then to plan my day hour by hour, I needed to write at which time what I'm going to do!
This makes me writing everything  twice, on the bottom,  and on the hours of the day! Waisted space and time! I need to do something about that!

Filofax and my bag match!

My bag goes together with my Malden Filofax very well! They both have the same very soft black leather that is squishy to touch. Love them both! Both made a very long way. The bsg is from Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I have bought it, and the Malden came to me from US.

Self discovering with Filofax

I decided to start a new serioes called "Selfdiscovering with Filofax". It is all about... self discovering! 
Many people have watched it already and found it useful! I'm not going to reveal the content! You have to watch it!

Filofax with Franklin Covey inserts

If you don't know which inserts to get for your Filofax, here are the great inserts! I actually prefer them more than Filofax inserts. Franklin Covey has the whole system that has worked for me great whan I used it. And which is great, it could be used for a newbie, there is no additional "training" and learning invilved!

The perfect notebook system!

I always struggled with notebooks! It always was too heavy or rings were too small, or there were no inserts available, or there weren't enough pages etc. I decided to make one myself finally and here is the result!
The perfect notebook is made  from A5 inserts with prepunched pages. And these pages are available anywere here! Another thing that I have to have for it - several rings. I use four currently.
I made the cover from a regular folder for A4 documents. And there are dividers available anywhere too!
I am totally happy!

Filofax:my much wanted pen loop and a washi tape

I wanted a pen loop ever since I had my Malden Filofax (well, for a month or so! :) I watched all videos available on youtube channel and researched this topic on the Internet, but all that ideas have seen didn't work for me. And I thought for a long time how to make one myself!
My washi tape idea was born accidentally when I realized that I have a masking tape,a nd that I could use it in my Filofax and pain it, and stamp it to my own liking!

Filofax vs. Franklin Covey binders

I compare A Filofax and Franklin Covey binders. They have a lot in common. Both are black, both have biggest rings from their ranges, both have many pockets and credit cards slots. The biggest difference is the size of rings. Franklin Covey binders have generally bigger ring sizes than Filofax. The size of Franklin Covey  rings are 34 mm, and the size of Filofax rings are 30 mm. It might seems as not much, but it makes HUGE difference in reality!

Filofax unboxing and my first impression

Here is one of my first videos, and I am stiff a little bit (a lot actually), but i got much better since!
I didn't like my Malden in the beginning, because it was so DARK and GROOMY. I even put it away for two days! I have picked it up, transferred all of my inserts from my Franklin Covey binder and voila!
